Yes Miss Heart, this is the commissionaire calling from downstairs. You had asked to give you a call if a set of keys were turned in, the ones that I have here seem to match the description that you gave. I can keep them here till the end of the day but after that they’ll have to return to security desk for safe keeping. Thank you and have a good day.
Hi this is Marc calling, I have a simple but embarrassing question. I currently have my keyboard set on the French setting and as I’m only a B level you can imagine I don’t do much righting in French, anyways that’s not the point. Obviously I do my report in English since I have a translator, my question is how do you change the setting back to English? I know it’s really easy maybe you can send me an email on how to do it so we can pretend that this never happened, thanks. Ohh yeah if you must call my extension is 555.
Sam: Hi Dave it’s Sam Willis calling, I just wanted to make sure you’ve heard about the changing venue for the meaning this afternoon.
Dave: What? you mean to tell me it’s not in 2623 anymore?
Sam: No unfortunately it was double booked we are in 1335 now, do you know where it is?
Dave: I do but that is going to work.
Sam: Oh why is that?
Dave: My portion of the presentation requires a code that we have in 2623
Sam: Oh Gees! well let just take a look here. Hhum..what about if we delay the start of the meeting till 2:30 the other room should be cleared up by then.
Dave: That’s fine with me, but it does mean it’ll be running till late this afternoon, probably till 5 at least. If you get the Ok from the other participants that’ll be great.
Sam: Ok Dave I’ll see what I can do and get back to you as soon as I can.
Dave: Thanks very much.
Anthony: Hello you have reached Anthony Matthers from the Algonquin travel, how may I help you?
Will: Yes hello this is Will Crockett, I’m calling to inquire about the add that I saw in the paper about all inclusive trip to resorts in Cancun.
Anthony: Yes that promotion is selling very well because the prices are great. What kind of information were you looking for?
Will: First I wanted to ask what all inclusive meant and also how much extra in taxes will be added on the total.
Anthony: Well Mrs Crockett I can tell you that all inclusive generally is exactly what it sounds like., your food, beverages, flight and transportation to and from the airport and of course the accommodations are all included.
Will: Sounds too good to be true.
Anthony: We have clients that return year after year to these places so I guess it’ safe to say that what is advertised is based on fact.
Will: I’m just thinking about a vacation for now. I’ll get back to you if I decide to proceed. Thanks for the information.
Anthony: You’re very welcome! I hope you’ll keep Algonquin travel in mind when you’re ready to book a vacation.
Will: Thanks again, goodbye.

Question 3 of 4
3. Question
Écoutez le dialogue deux fois, faites un résumé et ensuite répondez aux questions de suivi
(Durée: 11-13min)
Kyle: Susan thanks for meeting with me today.
Susan: No problem Kyle, what this is regarding?
Kyle: well I have been thinking for the past couple weeks that we really need to built some team moral. I mean especially among the individual teams, but also getting the teams to branch out a bit to other teams.
Susan: I can definitely see where you coming from. The last few months we’ve had a quiet a bit turn over. With a lot of our sinners staffs retiring and a lot of our younger coop students now earning full time job positions.
Kyle: Exactly! So now not only you have a mix of new and older employees we also have a generational mix, having employees ranging from 22 to almost 60 years old.
Susan: Very true, I never thought about the generational differences.
Kyle: Yes it’s something to consider. I feel the productivity has slowed down just because everyone is too shy or too scared of each other. So I’m trying to think of something weather it’ll be a big social event or a small game that could be played around the office just to get everyone talking, at least in a light hearted way.
Susan: Good point, I feel like a big social event may be overworking at this point, I think we should start with a small office activity first. You know what I thought of when you mentioned some kind of a game?
Kyle: What’s that that’s why I asked you here, you always full of ideas.
Susan: Well that is the point of brain storming. I remember when I was younger and in French immersion we played the “Paper clip” game. You know the game where someone will have to asks you for a paper clip if you spoke at work English?
Kyle: Ohh interesting..Ohh I see where you’re going with this, I know why don’t we pick a common word or phrase everyday that you have to try to avoid saying and we can start out with 5 paper clips each at the beginning of the week and the team with the most paper clips at the end of the week wins.
Susan: Excellent idea. Each team will have different colour so they have to get different colours from different team to prove the attempted to talk to the other teams. And we can have a small prize for the winning team at the end of the week, like pizza party or everyone gets a Tim hortons gift certificate.
